Dental Lifeline Network
Dr. Rosemarie Marquez is a proud participant of Donated Dental Services (DDS), a program of Dental Lifeline Network Florida. The DDS program provides access to comprehensive dental treatment for vulnerable people with disabilities or who are elderly or medically fragile and cannot afford care. Dental Lifeline Network Florida is part of national Dental Lifeline Network program of 15,000 volunteer dentists and 3,600 volunteer dental labs throughout the United States. Since its inception in 1985, the national DDS program has surpassed $250 million in donated dental therapies, transforming the lives of more than 120,000 people.
Oral Cancer Cause
Supporting local Clearwater charity, Oral Cancer Cause, is very close to Dr. Marquez’s heart. OCC’s purpose is to improve the quality of life for oral cancer patients through financial support so that they may face the world with peace and dignity during and after medical treatment. Oral Cancer Cause provides financial help to patients and their families who are facing the challenges of oral cancer. They also help to create public awareness about the rise of this cancer and the importance of oral cancer exams such as our VELscope for early diagnosis and successful treatment.
Check out our team and patients blowing a bubble for those who can’t as part of Oral Cancer Cause’s #bubblechallenge!
Dentistry From The Heart
Heather and I had the opportunity to volunteer February 6th with a wonderful organization called Dentistry From the Heart.
Started 14 years ago by Dr. Vincent Monticciolo, this charity offers free dental care to those in need all across the country. We enjoyed helping so many people feel good about their oral health and loved seeing them smile.
Oral Cancer Foundation
Each year we get so excited about forming a walk team to raise funds and awareness for the St. Petersburg chapter of the Oral Cancer Foundation. Approximately 43,250 Americans are diagnosed yearly with oral cancer and 1 life will be lost every hour of every day in the U.S., but we know that the survival rate when detected early is 80-90%.We walk with hope. We walk to support. And we walk to remember. Thank you to all who help us with this great cause!
